Regina's Gift.

What do you buy someone who has everything? You don't. You make something :)
Happy Birthday friend.

It's been a long time since I used watercolor. I decided I wanted Regina's gift to be sweet, simple and delicate, and watercolor is just so much better at that than acrylic. I hope she loves her present at least half as much as I love her.

....................................................................

Follow up: I dropped by Regina's office today and my painting was set up really nicely with a bunch of pretty stuff :)

Azores Design Week
Portugal, here I come! About a month ago I saw a post on "Inspiro" calling all Graphic designers, interior designers, illustration artists, interior designers and architects around the world to participate in Azores Design Week in Portugal. I sent them a few jpgs of my work and they asked me to send a couple of pieces for the up and coming artists mural! So I'm extremely happy to send "Pumpkin Patch" and "Sweet Tree" off to this beautiful island.

By the way, did I mention how BEAUTIFUL Azores is?

*Note* National Geographic rated Azores in second place at the “World top islands of Sustainable Tourism! (souce, Inspiro)

Sonic-Soma is an amazing new blog, about music, design and everyday life. It is managed by my friend and design parter at Spark*, Orestes Mora. This blog is based in México and posts about events, people and situations around the world. I'm a true fan of this site and the outer-spacey look it has to it. So I am honoured to be mentioned this week on www.sonic-soma.com
Take a look!

Experimenting with Lithography
I just finished a lithography course I took in Mexico City. It's such an interesting artsy-chemical process, I loved it!
Drawing before I traced it on to the stone.
Stone, all inked up and powdered up.
Offset ink and stone in press!
First prints drying.
Print Close up (fabriano cotton based paper)
Experimenting with different papers.
